Twin Monarch’s Rob will be teaching an 8-week songwriting evening class in Marino College Dublin this autumn.
Course Details:
Are you a budding songwriter looking to improve your skills? Are you a seasoned writer hoping to hone your craft? This course is for songwriters of all levels: It will give novice writers a solid grounding in the art of songwriting & co-writing, and will help those with previous writing experience bring their skills to an advanced level.
This 8-week course will cover the following topics and more:
- Storytelling through lyrics
- Melody, hooks and earworms
- Group songwriting (co-writing)
- Generating song ideas
- The songwriting industry
- Home recording basics
- Workshopping songs
- Theory & structure
When:
The course starts on Tuesday, 18th September and runs for 8 weeks. Class times are 7pm to 9pm every Tuesday.
Where:
The course takes place in Marino College in Fairview, Dublin. It’s a five minute walk from Clontarf Dart Station. Here it is in Google Maps:
